EastEnders’ executive producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, has promised that the Bobby Beale killer storyline hasn’t been forgotten and will be revisited.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Treadwell-Collins said: “At beginning of the story it was Ian and Jane – what would you do if you found out one of your children accidentally killed the other? What would you do in that situation. And is Bobby evil?

“Did he make a mistake, what happens if Bobby accidentally hit someone at school… does that mean he’s evil? There’s a whole explanation of parenthood.”

The EastEnders boss also revealed Kathy will become tied up in the storyline too, saying: “Grandma Kathy is due to come back as well, so it’s throwing her into the mix is going to be vey exciting. This is part one of the story done but there’s a lot more to tell.”

Treadwell-Collins also revealed he will continue to shock EastEnders’ viewers, teasing: “All the soaps are doing it at the moment, its good to keep the audience on their feet. So much is given out to all the papers.”

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
