As announced last month, Jake Wood is to take a year long break from the dramas of Albert Square when his character gets an ‘explosive’ exit.

However, the question on everyone’s lips is whether or not Max will go down for Lucy’s murder. I mean, the evidence against him is pretty strong, right?

Whilst viewers know that Max is innocent, there’s no one to vouch for his whereabouts that fateful night. Also, the police could realise he was jealous of Lucy’s newer love interest, Lee.

Finally, when Max helped Lucy carry an intoxicated Jake Stone into his flat, Jake accidentally hit Lucy, causing a nose bleed… which happened to drop on Max’s shoe!

This seems like the perfect way to write out the amazing Jake Wood for a year – but do you think this is how Max will leave the Square or do bosses have something else up their sleeves?
