Detective Chief Inspector Jill Marsden, played by Sophie Stanton, is to return to EastEnders this Summer for the continuation of the Lucy Beale murder investigation.
Whilst viewers now know Bobby Beale was responsible for sister Lucy’s death, most of the Square is still in the dark over her death. As the murder investigation steps up a gear, DCI Marsden is drafted into the investigation.
Also back on the case is DS Cameron Bryant, the officer who initially informed Ian of his daughter’s death and the former boyfriend of deceased policewoman Emma Summerhayes.
Recurring police woman DI Keeble tells Bryant: “It’s your lucky day,” Bryant replies: “I don’t suppose I can go to nick him now?” Could the police have Max in the frame for Lucy’s murder?!
According to Inside Soap, Bobby’s mental state will also be considered as he raises a blunt instrument in anger in the Beale living room. As Bobby begins to suspect his own guilt, viewers will see his approach the Walford police station himself.
“The Lucy story really kicks up a gear, with a big arrest that takes us into September. And there are going to be a few old faces returning for that as well,” reveals EastEnders exec Dominic Treadwell-Collins.
As the Square is swarming with police, DI Keeble soon comes knocking for Bobby…
