For the past week, viewers have seen that Gavin has taken Phil hostage, leaving Kathy and Ben to try to find enough money to get him back safely.
With things not going their way, Kathy tells Ian and Ben that she’s now told the police everything that’s been going on.
Heading over to the Mitchell’s house, Sharon remains furious and blames Kathy for the situation with Phil.
Interrupting this confrontation, Sharon answers the door to see Phil covered in blood, and then collapses to the ground. Sharon, Jay, and Ben all rush to his rescue and call for an ambulance as he remains unconscious on the floor.
The ambulance soon arrives, while Kathy stands and watches while Sharon glares at her and blames her for this too.
Now in hospital, Ben goes to visit his dad as they see each other for the first time since he caught Ben in the act with Paul. How will he react?
Phil is then furious to see Kathy also visiting him at the hospital. Kathy was still a secret when Phil was last with his family, he’ll now know that the whole family knows too.
A caring and concerned Sharon stays by Phil’s side throughout, even as DCI Marsden arrives at the hospital to question Phil.
Elsewhere, Ben takes matters into his own hands and tries to bring his family back together – will his plan work?
After being released from hospital, Phil later struggles alone back at home.
Things don’t seem to be looking up for Kathy on Halloween either, as she’s taunted and spooked by the actions of somebody.
A frightened Kathy looks upstairs at the Beale House, outside, fears she’s seeing someone in the shadows, and then receives a mystery phone call.
Who is spooking Kathy?
EastEnders airs these scenes all next week, on BBC One.
