It’s the night of Walford’s traditional Christmas Nativity Play and with Dot at the helm, we’re sure it will be a success in the end with only a ‘minor’ bump or two before the final curtain comes down!
EastEnders Spy readers will know that Mick has persuaded Dot to let his future mother-in-law help with the play to keep her out of his and Linda’s way as they make their wedding preparations. Dot and Elaine are naturally at odds as to who should actually be in charge; but after Mick pleads with Dot, they reach an agreement and the Walford matriarch agrees to let Elaine be second in command.
When little Janet Mitchell is cast as the Angel Gabriel in Dot’s Nativity play, Elaine is not sure that she is right for the part.
Billy becomes worried that the role may be too much for his little girl to take on and tells a furious Elaine that Janet can’t be in the play. Elaine later has a change of heart and convinces Billy that Janet will be the perfect angel.
EastEnders airs these scenes on Christmas Eve at 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
