Stacey Branning’s mental health is on the decline, next week on EastEnders.
EESpy readers will know Stacey is suffering from a rare mental illness called postpartum psychosis, which causes hallucinations and mood swings.
Stacey is convinced that her newborn son is the son of God, and is having hallucinations. She turns up at church to see Dot, who becomes concerned for Stacey, and asks Reverend Stevens to speak to Stacey.
The following day, Stacey rushes to Dot’s house, but is stopped in her tracks by Carmel, who wants to see her new grandson.
But when Carmel tries to touch Arthur, she tells her to stay away.
Later on, Stacey’s world is shattered in two when she is told Charlie has died.
EastEnders airs these scenes on the week commencing January 4th on BBC One.
