There’s a glimmer of joy for the Carters next week when Johnny Carter comes home amidst their recent struggles regarding Ollie’s health.
As Linda (Kellie Bright) continues to struggle with the aftermath of Ollie’s fall, Mick (Danny Dyer) and Sharon (Letitia Dean) both rally to try and cheer up the landlady.
They arrange a karaoke night for the Vic, but Mick has an even better idea. Linda’s son, Johnny, now played by Ted Reilly, is called back to Walford by Mick, who thinks that Johnny coming home could really brighten the atmosphere in the Vic.Linda is delighted to have her ‘sausage’ home, even though he’s initially only back for a few days. The karaoke night continues with Johnny picking up the mic to put a smile on his mum’s face. However, nothing ever stays too happy in Walford… Johnny begins to suspect that Linda may be putting on a facade and that all is not well with the Carter clan.
She insists everything is fine, leading to Johnny opening up about his own struggles. He reveals that he and his boyfriend Gianluca have broken up and parted ways, hence why he is back in Walford.Linda supports Johnny and realises she has to tell him the truth about what he’s missed since he left Walford in December 2014. She informs him about Dean Wicks raping her and all the other drama the Carters have faced over the past year.
Johnny begins to struggle to come to terms with everything and breaks down in the toilet.Realising he needs to take action, Johnny and his brother Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) come up with a plan to reunite the family!
The family also pose for a couple of pictures together!
