EastEnders star Jonny Labey, who plays Paul Coker, is to leave the soap later this year, it has been revealed.
Labey made his first on-screen appearance in June last year and since then has been involved in storylines such has his granddad Les’ cross-dressing secret, and helping Ben Mitchell come to terms with his sexuality.
A show spokesperson confirmed the news today, saying: “We can confirm Jonny will be leaving the show later this year. We wish him all the best for the future.”
An insider teased to Digital Spy: “Jonny is leaving in a couple of months as part of an explosive storyline. Bosses are keeping tight lipped about what’s in store but there’s plenty of drama in store for Paul before he leaves.”
Paul is set to bow out of Walford in a few months’ time.
