Neil McDermott to reprise his role as Ryan Malloy

Neil McDermott is set to reprise his role as Ryan Malloy from behind bars, this Autumn on BBC One.

An EastEnders insider teased: “Ryan is never far from Whitney’s mind and she has always stayed in touch as much as possible.

“Although Ryan will only be appearing in a couple of episodes it’s fair to say that when he’s around drama usually follows.”

Ryan, who is the half-brother of Whitney Dean and father to Lily, is currently behind bars after handing himself in during his last stint in January after going on the run.

Ryan accidentally killed pimp Rob Grayson in August 2011, in a bid to protect his sister Whitney.

According to tabloid reports, McDermott has already started filming his brief return, and spent 3 hours at BBC Elstree Centre last week.
