Annette Badland is to leave EastEnders in the coming months, as fans will say goodbye to her villainous character ‘Aunt Babe’.
Badland has starred in the soap since 2014 and since then has been involved in various different storylines – from her long-running feud with her sister, Sylvie, over Stan Carter, to blackmailing Pam and Les Coker.
Confirming the news, The Sun reported an insider saying: “Prior to living in The Vic, Aunt Babe was seen coming and going from The Square with her own life away from Walford.”
However, her exit may not be permanent, as the source added: “Prior to living in The Vic, Aunt Babe was seen coming and going from The Square with her own life away from Walford.
“She will still very much be in the wings and could well continue to cause aggro for the Carter family.”
Babe’s final scenes are expected to air in the coming months on BBC One.
